These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ArkoPDF desktop and mobile apps, the arkopdf.com website, and any cloud storage, web tools, and AI-assisted features that we make available to you (together, the “Service”). Features are released progressively and may not be available in your version, on your platform, or in your region. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

The Service is provided by Kunming Jike Zimi Technology Co., Ltd. (昆明极客子米科技有限公司), a company registered in Kunming, Yunnan Province, China (Unified Social Credit Code 91530112MA6Q2BC841) — “we”, “our”, “us” below. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

1. Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may not share access in a way that lets others use a subscription you paid for.

2. License for the software

Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the ArkoPDF apps for your own business or personal use. The software and Service are proprietary; all rights not expressly granted are reserved to us and our licensors.

3. Plans, trials, and free use

Local tools are available free up to a small number of trial uses per tool; beyond that limit, continued use requires a paid plan and free outputs may include a watermark. Details of plans, the one-week membership trial offered after sign-up, AI credit allowances and Copilot credit packs, and, where offered, cloud-storage quotas, are shown on our pricing page and may change from time to time. Allowances and quotas apply only to the extent the corresponding feature is available in your version of the Service.

4. AI features and credits

• AI features are metered in Copilot credits. One credit roughly equals one short AI operation (a brief chat, a summary, or a one-page translation).
• Paid subscriptions include a monthly credit allowance that resets each billing period; the Lifetime plan includes a one-time credit grant; purchased credit packs never expire and roll over.
• AI use is not unlimited. When an included allowance is used up, further AI operations draw on purchased packs, where packs are offered in your version.
• You may instead connect your own model-provider key (“bring your own key”); those operations are billed by your provider, not metered against your allowance.
• AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose. They are not professional, legal, financial, or medical advice, and you are responsible for how you use them.

5. Orders, payment, and billing

• Payments are processed by Creem (web and desktop) or by the applicable app store on iOS and Android. Promotional “first period” prices are limited-time discounts; renewals and subsequent periods are billed at the standard price shown at checkout.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in your account settings or in the app store; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription or Lifetime purchase. Purchased credit packs are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Prices may change in the future; we will give you notice before a renewal is billed at a new price. We may be required to charge applicable taxes.

6. Your files and cloud storage

You keep ownership of the files you store or process. You grant us the rights needed to host, transmit, and process those files solely to provide the Service to you. If you use a cloud-storage feature that we make available, quotas and file-size limits depend on your plan. Deleting files may be irreversible after a short grace period.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:

• uploading or processing unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
• attempting to reverse engineer, crack, resell, sublicense, or circumvent licensing, watermarks, or credit metering;
• interfering with the Service, scraping it, or attempting to gain unauthorized access;
• using AI features to generate unlawful or harmful content or to abuse quotas; or
• violating any applicable law or the rights of others.

You are responsible for the content you process and for ensuring you have the right to use it. We may suspend or remove content or access that violates these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArkoPDF is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for a breach of these Terms or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including sections on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified by email or in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved first through good-faith negotiation, then before the competent courts of Kunming, Yunnan Province, China. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
